We've been through this before, you simply quote the box score and don't have any coherent memories of 04'. USC struggled to win that game.
I go by the scoreboard, which is all that matters.

OP conveniently left out the 70's when Bama went 103-16-1, winning eight SEC titles and three national championships.

Bama only counts Nattys.

1980. Nice choice, selective intent but nice.

Struggled to win. Your honor, if it pleases the court...Talk about losing a case in a NewYork minute.

Funny, USC struggled much more with VT than AU did. But you are definitely too stupid to know that.
ETA: Just finished reading the last couple of pages. Damn this thread brought out the morons. Intent was just to show how close the top programs in the SEC have been to each other over the last 3.5 decades.
I chose the time frame because
1. I was born in 1982
2. It's the beginning of a new decade.
3. It was near the end of the Bear era where bama dominated so all you bitching bama fans can settle down. We all know you have had the most success if you include the 70s.

USC would have beat the hell out of anyone that year, they beat Auburn 24-0 the year before, please !!!!!!!
I agree. Kind of like how in 2012 bama beat Auburn 49-0, so in 2013, they also beat the hell out of Auburn, right?

But more importantly, it'd been roughly 10 years since Auburn truly was at a natty level, and the national sports media refused to give Auburn a lot of respect when two other powerhouses were in the mix for it.
I think this is the most valid reason AU got snubbed. People have to remember this was before Stoops' string of gagging in big games.
The mythology of the unbeatable 2004 Trojans amazes me. Good, but certainly not invincible. In 10 games I think AU beats them 6 times.
