A diminutive ebony man in Austin seems to think so.

But why he mad tho?
The swagcopter isnt a gadget; it's transportation.
Suck it, bitter teasip.

And we won't lie, a fun back-and-forth between Strong and Sumlin moving forward would be great for the rivalry. Without any future meetings between the two scheduled, the embers need to be stoked every now and then.

So that's how it is now?
Go find your own rivalry. We've moved on.

It's funny what lengths people will go to turn a positive into a negative.

Got a creative offensive scheme or recruiting technique? Just call it gadget and it's awful now!

This portion right here is why answering this question was a serious misstep.
quote:

Texas A&M has inherited some swagger over the last two years with Sumlin at the helm and Johnny Manziel playing quarterback. There's Sumlin tweeting "Yessir" every time a recruit verbally commits to A&M and the "Swagcopter" is the helicopter he's been using on recruiting trips. In November, Sumlin said the helicopter was undefeated when it came to commitments.

Every single article about the Texas recruiting class is now going to include a section talking about Texas A&M. And frankly it's going to be talking about what Texas needs to do to catch up. Perception fail.

And honestly Yahoo was pretty nice. They didn't mention that Sumlin took his recruits or that A&M's class is miles better than tu's. I'm actually pretty impressed they were able to frame this quote without doing that actually. I doubt everyone will be so kind.

Yeah Yahoo! could have housed Strong over this, but kept it civil.

and the DMN news wrote a much better intro than I would have even

LINK
quote:

The top Texas high school football recruits won't play for the Longhorns in 2014. Instead, those highly touted players are headed to Southeastern Conference, Pac-12 and other Big 12 schools.
quote:

Texas will finish with the 16th-ranked recruiting class in the country, according to 247 Sports. The Longhorns have the 19th-ranked class, per Rivals.com. Texas A&M ranks fifth and sixth, respectively, according to those recruiting services.

Strong was also asked about A&M, coach Kevin Sumlin and the program's infamous 'swagcopter' on Tuesday. His response?

"The university speaks for itself. We don't need gadgets. We're not going to be a gadget program."

It does indeed speak for itself. What it says is, "but, but, we're TEXAS".

The shag is unbelievable right now. Hell just on the football board, 4 of their first 12 threads are either directly about us or they are spending a lot of time discussing us. Jesus
