The sec has treated the rules of the NCAA like it's a wall that if you find a hole in it by all means jump through it, while most of the other teams look at the wall and understand it's true intent.

Aggy has always been known as a cheater in football, which makes them being in the SEC perfect for them. But aggy being aggy will $#@! this up when aggy acts like aggy to one of the power teams in the sec. They will walk around like they have a big $#@! to swing in that conference when really they have no bragging rights and end up pissing off an sec team or two. They will then watch their welcoming party and gift basket disappear while they are ushered to the little kids table and given participation trophies for being just another notch in Bama, Auburn, LSU and Florida's belt each year. This is the meltdown I have longed for and it's only a couple years away.

Yeah they are talking about how stars don't matter and it's how you develop guys that is how you win. While I agree that player development is key, it helps when you have talent to develop. I love being on the other side.

the greatest part of this entire meltdown is where it turns out the entire thing is about wishing a meltdown upon us

I remember Ags trotting out that line to peals of laughter from horns during the 00's.

I love this theory. Every single national champion since 2003 has had at least one class ranked 1st or 2nd in the 4 years preceding that title. Most runners up as well. However, to be fair, a couple of them never even had top 5 classes in that time: Oregon 2010 and ND 2012.

My favorite NSD melt:

"We need to hire an army of private investigators to police the state. The NCAA isn't going to investigate shite, we'll have to do it."

They better be careful what they wish for. I wouldn't want any competent PI looking into Red's involvement in their program. I know they always talk about being squeaky clean but we all know that is just another of their delusions.

I think they got a nice reality check when Mack left and tried to kill the program while doing it.

Honestly I feel sorry for the guy... nah, what am I saying? I don't. But he probably had no idea what sort of shitstorm he was walking in to and I would guess he now has "helpful" rich alums calling him every day. That might make me say stupid things, too. From what I've seen he's a fine coach and if he survives more than 2 years I think he could be trouble for A&M in recruiting. But I don't expect him to last 2 years. We'll see.

Its not just the Ex problem. It is also the fact that Texas recruits aren't his style.
