LSU announced Wednesday that American musician, record producer, and actor Aloe Blacc will perform at Tiger Stadium during halftime of the LSU-Arkansas football game on Nov. 14.

Blacc is the second artist that will perform during and LSU halftime this season, as it was announced earlier this week that OneRepublic will play live during halftime of the LSU-Florida game in Tigers Stadium on Oct 17th.

Both performance will be held in conjunction with the Golden Band from Tigerland. Per LSUSports.net:
quote:

“It is an honor for the LSU Golden Band from Tigerland to share the field with Aloe Blacc.” said Roy King, LSU Director of Marching Bands. “It is another great opportunity for our kids to perform with such a gifted artist in Tiger Stadium.”

Blacc is a Grammy nominated singer, songwriter, producer and actor who is best known for his singles “I Need A Dollar”, “The Man”, and for writing and performing vocals for Avicii’s “Wake Me Up”, which was the number one song in 102 countries.

I'm over 30 and I've heard that I'm the Man song waaaaay too many times. It was Fraley's walkout song and the theme song to the NFL draft I believe.

How can you seriously hate this? Kudos to LSU for trying to give the fans more for their money. If you don't know who he is that's kinda scary.

If you're under 30 it's a tad surprising to not have heard of Aloe Blacc.

I've never seen this sort of thing for LSU football games. Are they expecting a decline in overall attendance and more specifically, 2nd half attendance?

Never heard of this guy. Would rather hear the ban that make Tiger Stadium more corporate than it already is.
