Jerry Tipton of Kentucky.com wasn't afraid to throw it back at John Calipari during Kentucky's media day on Thursday after the Wildcats coach was asked about the FBI’s college basketball investigation, specifically about how Kentucky sponsor Nike is being investigated. Go Jerry!

What a crook.

This guy has a dicey reputation thru UMass & Memphis - if there is any kind of legit investigation, he won't continue to get away with his shenanigans. He must have a hell of a "sweep team" to have remained unscathed for this long.

Bama football (SEC office and ref hq in bama),UK basketball and the corruption could bring down the NCAA because they've turned a blind eye too long. Buddy system.

Looks like the NCAA is planning to settle all the family's business.

You know exactly what Calipari is thinking....”Nobody would ever talk to Saban this way.” Haha! About time one of these egomaniac coaches got called out.

While I am no Kentucky or calipari fan, the vitriol against this man is unbelievable. Maybe he is just that good at recruiting. I met the man once, and as I was talking to him I was like sign me up if I was a player lol. While I wouldn’t be shocked if he were involved in some shady dealings, and I know first hand some things around John Wall, maybe he has never been caught because he isn’t actually cheating?!

Dude asked him to give the fans some reassurance that they won't find anything. Apparently John couldn't do that.

Commenting in any way would have lended credibility to the story.

Cal has had two final fours vacated, one in each of his first two college jobs. He's been tied in with World Wide Wes for years, who has been accused of steering players to Cal, specifically Anthony Davis (A nike player). It was a valid question that had to be asked. He may well be clean, but Jerry Tipton is a respected basketball writer in this state and was going to ask the question. If Cal leaves U.K. without incident, it'll be the first clean collegiate tenure of his career.

Well, dude had a point, even if he came off as whiny at the tail end of the sentence. Cal certainly is a shady character. He probably has no way to assure the fans other than repeat he's in the clear until (if) it comes out he's not. He could have just said something to that affect right off and avoided coming off as a douche. Basketball is Kentucky's claim to fame. It's what they have, it's how they keep their colors in the public eye. If that's maybe being put into jeopardy, it's understandable the fans would like to be informed. UK fans and the UK media have loved the Wildcats long before Cal got there, and will love them long after he's gone. He shouldn't write off a legitimate question like that.

In other words, "I ain't sayin nothin so I don't have to back peddle when the NCAA and FBI announce a UK violation."
