Former NFL quarterbacks Mark Sanchez and Tim Tebow were once teammates on the New York Jets in 2012 and gave some insight into what that was like...
quote:

“He works really hard in the weight room," Sanchez said, (first transcribed by On3). "He works really hard at practice. He is a really good teammate, but it’s difficult in the quarterback room, because there can only be one. You have two, you have none. And it also sends messages to the team like, okay, we’re signing this other really good player. What’s the role? How do we define these roles for these two players? Who’s our guy? Who are we following? And so it can make life difficult but I mean, he's a hell of a dude."

So Tim was trying to take the reigns of the team from Sanchez? Can't quite interpret what's being implied. Tebow was good enough to be a back up. Don't understand why he couldn't ride the bench somewhere.

It's very hard to dislike the guy. The people who do usually have to go out of their way to do it.
It was much easier to do back when our guys had to play him.LOL

Tebow is just a solid individual.

He had to be obnoxious with all that church preaching trying to convert everybody in the locker room.

If he would've just embraced the role like taysom hill in NO he could still be playing in the league

tebow has nowhere near taysom hills speed. what would he be used for QB powers and draws all game?

Sean Payton claims they were interested in using Tebow like they use Taysom Hill now but Tebow said he only wanted to be a full time qb. My guess is Tebow regrets that considering how much money Taysom Hill has made.

He made a great jump to broadcasting. Honestly the better option for him. He can be a broadcaster until he's 60-70.

He's a great guy and has proven it. He's not a great NFL QB bc he proved that too. I wish him well.

The ButtFumble may be unforgivable but the Sanchize got the jets to consecutive AFC title games and seriously outplayed Ben Roethlisberger in the second game. Sanchez was a significantly better pro QB than Tebow.

The defense got them to title games. Mark Sanchez was horrible. Tebow was persona non grata because of his fame and his religiousness.

Didn’t say he was good just that he was better than Tebow’s shitty arse lol but Sanchez was good in the playoffs. Religion wasn’t an issue for Tebow. It’s pretty common look at Mahomes, Russell Wilson, and Kirk Cousins. Being a gimmick QB was Tebow’s problem.

You're saying Tim was not a good person bc of fame and religion? I just want to understand the "what and why" of your post. Maybe I'm missing something.

I defend Tim. Correct. You signed me, you’re paying me, what’s our direction?

I don’t think that’s a hard ask. Considering the Jets franchise, makes sense.

Tim would have had more success if he had never listened to anyone and changed his throwing motion. He should have stayed with what he was successful with.

No, he would have still sucked as a quarteback. He should have just changed positions and he would have probably played longer.

He took the Broncos to the playoffs by himself and won a playoff game. He was never bad at QB.

Tebows dime to Demariyus Thomas won them the playoff game but the defense carried that team the whole season.
