Bama LB Arrested Says He Was Holding Weed For His Friend 'Brandon Chicken'
John David Mercer-USA TODAY Sports
As reported on the SEC Rant, Alabama star LB Tim Williams was arrested early Thursday morning and charged with carrying a pistol without a permit. According to court records, UAPD officers approached Williams’ Chevrolet Impala in a Public parking lot. UAPD smelled marijuana and after searching the vehicle, found a clear plastic bag containing marijuana in the center console and a Glock 41 pistol under the driver’s seat. Williams was sitting in the passenger’s seat while the another dude was in the driver’s seat. The driver told officers that the marijuana was his, and that he was holding it for a friend named “Brandon Chicken.” Yes, "Brandon CHICKEN"....

Not that it really matters, but his friend says he was holding it for Brandon Chicken (Tim Williams did not say that).

Drugs and a firearm is a serious felony anywhere else in the world but in Tuscaloosa when a Bama football player is involved.

Get your story straight and for all of the haters, Williams was in a car, passenger seat. He bought the gun legally and was able to provide the receipt. Him not having his permit on him that was shown he had is why it was a misdemeanor just like everywhere else but continue the Bama hate and not facts.

So my choice is to either believe you, an anonymous poster on the Internet, or Larry Leo, whose integrity is beyond comparison? Sorry, Nick, I'm going with the facts as Larry has reported them. Your jibber jabber is not welcome in a serious discussion of gun-toting, drug-crazed, young men whose crime spree came to a premature stop.

BobABooey - "Your jibber jabber is not welcome in a serious discussion of gun-toting, drug-crazed, young men whose crime spree came to a premature stop." What are you rambling about? Your comments don't even make sense.

Guess we know how this will end, Tuscaloosa DA will not be out done by some hick DA from Monroe...too bad Williams had the correct paperwork for his pistol, makes the GUMP DA feel a little insignificant, since firearm in Monroe was actually stolen...

One thing about Les - Maybe his internal game clock didn't work too well, but his thug detecting radar was spot on.

So if the cops find drugs in my car, I can just make up a bullshite name, say it's theirs, and they'll drop the charges? Sweet!

Way to bring attention to yourself while smoking weed in a fricking Impala. He might as well walked into the police department and asked to be taken to jail.

Never allow a cop to search you car. NEVER!!! Dude obviously didn't know his rights.

Dipshit!!! The officers smelling weed is probable cause. The officers could have easliy got them outta the vehicle, hand-cuffed them, and then done their search.
user avatar
Breauxsif91 months
You sir are a dumbass. You clearly have no idea what the 4th Amendment is. "Probable cause" hahaha.... Good thing you're not a lawyer cuz you have no clue on what you're talking about. Search and seizure constitutes a warrant before consent is given to search a vehicle. Therefore, since this dude gave up his right and said it was ok for the cop to search his vehicle that's what led to the cop finding the weed and arresting him. If he would've envoked his 5th Amendment right and refused to speak to the cop and requested counsel he'd have a better chance of getting off.

So is he a thug because he is black and bought a gun or because he had weed in his possession?? Last I checked neither makes you a thug in this country because both are legal in at least parts of it. Don't key me so your racist fueled tirade though.
