Went with my dad a couple of years ago. Approximately $500 a round at Pebble Beach. Most amazing scenery and definitely a trip to remember! We stayed at Pebble Beach and the accommodations were nice, but it's not a place that I feel we stayed in the room a lot, so if one of the other resorts is cheaper then go for it!

I played Pebble and Spy Glass last week. There are two ways to do it. The guaranteed way is to book a room(2 night minimum - estimated $1000.00/ per night) or roll the dice and call at 7am the day before you want to play. I've done it both ways, but the caddy's say its pretty hit or miss to get on without a room. Pebble was $495 and Spyglass was $395. Spyglass is probably a better course, but nothing beats the feeling of getting to chunk it around Pebble.
