Shouldn't I have a mechanic check out the engine before I buy?
get a fiberglass guy to check out transom. also have him look to make sure the cap and hull and joined properly. boats take a pounding in the gulf/miss river. get under the boat. inspect the pad for gashes. people are stupid. they could have ran it up on an oyster reef. you could get a deal for the damages they didnt fix. check compartments and lids. makes sure they are not cracked. check center console screws. makes sure they are secure and not coming up.
