There are several things that are in play.

First, the current Indian government is run by right-wing, pro-hindutva party, BJP and is led by Modi. Compared to the centre-left parties that are in opposition, BJP is considered anti-Muslim. The Muslim vote bank in India is sizable, and it never votes for BJP. So the opposition party wants to retain the Muslim vote bank, and needs to be somewhat sympathetic to the Palestinian cause (not the terrorism part, but the two state solution part).

Second, BJP has pioneered the use of social media to advance their agenda. They have created an IT-cell which is very well coordinated and very successful.

Third, BJP first rose into prominence in early 1990s when they started supporting the cause of demolishing a mosque (Babri Masjid) that was built at the Hindu holy site (Ayodhya) several centuries ago. They have finally succeeded in building a temple in that site which will be opened soon. This has parallels to how the Al-Aqsa mosque is built on the Temple mound. This shorts of created a psychological bond.

Fourth, BJP and prime minister Modi are experiencing extreme high popularity. Modi win the 2014 election very decisively, and he won the 2019 election with even bigger margins, and in all likelihood will retain the power in 2024.

All these reasons come together to form a sort of connection between Modi supporters and Israel which is manifesting in the online support that Israel is receiving from Indians.
