Well, the players, parents, and coaches do.
These so called "minor sports" are now the closest thing to the "student-athlete" ideal currently on campuses these days. The vast majority are not playing for big money contracts in pro leagues, they do it because they love the sport and the school.

I don't have an animal in this fight and I understand the tradition, but you have a stadium in Jacksonville that will seat 71,000 max, Florida's stadium that seats 88,548+, and Georgia's stadium seating 92,746+.
Given the current issues with paying players, I would think moving the game to on-cam...

Or Vanderbilt? Not much of a rivalry when the scores are 60 something to 3, second stringers are playing before halftime and scrubs after the half.
IIRC, the uat Vanderbilt game was an exception as uat claimed it was a "rivalry." Unfortunately, my old family friend and SEC commissioner is not aro...
