Who cares, I’m pretty sure Kentucky was ready to move on as well.

Now where is the part of the contract that explains what happens if he doesn't notify? What is Kentucky going to do, terminate the contract of someone leaving.

Cal: "I quit."
Kentucky,: "No, you're fired!"

Or is there anything indicating that he owes Kentucky for violating the contract? He was a God when this contract was signed so it's unlikely there was anything that unfavorable to Cal.

Man, how quickly can one lose ‘legendary’ status? A few years back, they would have named it ‘Calipari-Rupp’ Arena.

I bet his agent is doing the talking not Calipari himself. Jimmy Sexton does this all the time for his clients. Ask Saban, Fisher, etc.

Calipari hasnt spoke to anyone fro the u of a. His agent spoke to john tyson of Tyson food corporation. That is not a violation

Not doubting you, but how would you know who spoke with whom?

What is the AD going to do, keep him and risk being tarred and feathered? They want him to leave and don’t have to pay him. It would be stupid to stand in the way of this move.

Isn’t that a detail his agent and/or attorney would “dot the i and cross the t” over?
UKY was probably ready for him to go anyway.

Wouldn’t losing as a 2 seed to a 15 seed be a bigger violation?
