Ripley’s maternal instinct kicked in. Good characters are ones based in truth. Take what makes the sexes different and interesting and connect it to a good story. You don’t make a woman a hero by making her a man but by pushing in on her femininity. It’s not that hard.
re: Tucker Carlson has divided conservative social media with his take on the atomic bomb

The US was tired of war in August 1945 while at the same time gearing up for the invasion of Japan. In Japan, surrender wasn’t viewed like it was in Europe. Your platoon is surrounded and its hopeless? A European and American platoon would surrender. Japanese units would fight to the last man. It wo...
Exactly. I'd like to hear Tucker explain what should have been done differently. Prolonging the war with a mainland invasion that causes countless more deaths seems far more "evil" to me.
Based on the law, Baldwin should be found guilty. It’s not the bullets that will sink Baldwin. It’s the fact that during a REHEARSAL he had the gun fully cocked, with his finger on the trigger, and pointed it directly at someone WITHOUT ensuring that the gun was empty. This is criminal negligence in...
