re: Observations on 50 years of married life (long)
Posted by oldtimefootball on 4/4/24 at 12:33 am
Married 63+ years. My wife is the sweetest, most kind-hearted person I know. We are together 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. I need her; she needs me because we are both getting old and have medical problems. I love her and she loves me and God loves both of us. ...
re: Got some bad news with Lance
Posted by oldtimefootball on 1/2/24 at 4:25 pm
The bad news FOR Lance is that he will never play left tackle for anybody unless he loses about 20 pounds and suddenly develops the characteristics of a ballerina dancer.
He is not agile enough and probably never will be. ...
Lance Heard wants to play left tackle.
Posted by oldtimefootball on 12/30/23 at 9:18 pm
Of the times I saw Lance Heard in a game this year, my observation is that he doesn't have the quick feet necessary to play left tackle. Defensive ends and outside linebackers will blow right by him. His future is right tackle especially if he ever makes it to the NFL....

Who was the President and who controlled the House and Senate in 2017? Who was the Attorney General? Who was the FBI Director? Trump and his administration did absolutely nothing about the corruptness in Washington, D.C. during his administration. It's time to put somebody in charge in Washington wh...

There are some dense people on this board. This is not a FEDERAL case. Trump is accused of claiming that $130,000 paid to Cohen was a business expense and thus defrauded the Borough of Manhattan, the City of New York, and the State of New York. The CRIME was tax-related and nothing else. If you dim...

Counting personal expenses as business expenses happens all the time, especially in small businesses, but this case will be tried in New York. He is going down after Briggs drags this out as long as he can....

I voted for Trump twice. I think he is going down over these payments to Michael Cohen. The Statement Of Facts states that Trump made payments directly to Cohen. He should have let others in his organization handle the payments so he could say that he had nothing to do with the payments. Claiming th...

Trump may be in more trouble than people think he is

I read DA Briggs's "Statement Of Facts" in Donald Trump's indictment. It is a relatively long read but has some interesting things in it. Trump is charged, among other things, with claiming the payments to his personal attorney, Michael Cohen, were business-related attorney retainer fees when the pa...

The LORD had said to Abram, "Leave your country, your people and your father's household and go to the land I will show you. I will make you into a great nation and I will bless you; I will make your name great, and you will be a blessing. I will bless those who bless you, and whoever curses you I w...
Donald Trump is not electable
Posted by oldtimefootball on 3/22/23 at 9:14 pm
After reading all the back-and-forth on here between Trump supporters and DeSantis supporters, I am troubled that Trump supporters don't realize or don't care that Trump can get 100% of the Republican vote and still will not win the election because he will absolutely turn off Independent voters and...

It wasn't pretty, but Frazier made his block. The runner ran
behind him and had a 5-yard gain before he was hit and driven backward. Frazier's man was not involved in the play at all. Frazier blocked his man and then got thrown down but he made his block. ...
re: Is anyone else happily married to someone you love and generally happy in life?

My wife and I have been married 61 years. God brought us through some very tough times. I don't have time to name all the challenges we faced - stroke, breast cancer, open heart surgery, broken bones, death of a child, only son battling cancer now - but trusting God is the answer to making it throug...
Ron DeSantis should run for President in 2024. Here's why
Posted by oldtimefootball on 8/23/22 at 4:22 pm
DeSantis is running for re-election as Governor of Florida this year. If re-elected, he will serve until 2026. Under Florida law, a governor can only serve 2 terms in a 12-year period, so he cannot run for re-election in 2026. If he waits to run for U.S. President in 2028, he will not have the gover...
