re: LSU MBA Program
Posted by bas456 on 3/31/14 at 3:37 pm
3 or 4 years ago someone in the admissions department told me "You don't want an MBA from LSU." So I've passed that message on to anyone who asks. ...

re: Best dress shirt brands
Posted by bas456 on 3/25/14 at 10:15 am
I bought them at the store on Michigan Ave. It was on the left sleeve on all 4 shirts. It must be something I do, but I've had some JosABank shirts for 2+ years with no problems. I prefer the look and fit of BB, but they are expensive for 6 months of wear. I'll admit I've still worn them under sweat...

re: Why is the SECBB Tourney held in the Dome instead of Phillips Arena?
Posted by bas456 on 3/11/14 at 10:28 am
In Atlanta, they need a lot more "cheap seats" to attract the SEC football fan who lives in Atlanta but doesn't care enough to pay a premium that would have to be charged at Phillips. Nashville is closer to Lexington. Greater demand from fans who are more passionate about college basketball coupled ...
re: Why is the SECBB Tourney held in the Dome instead of Phillips Arena?
Posted by bas456 on 3/11/14 at 9:35 am
They only seat about 40k in the GA Dome and even then it is only on Sat and Sun when they open the upper levels. There can't be more than a few thousand extra seats in the Dome over Phillips for the midweek games. ...

re: Why can't LSU win basketball games on the road?
Posted by bas456 on 2/27/14 at 9:50 am
LSU defends the goal more aggressively than anyone in the SEC. Home record: 7-1. Road record: 1-6.
Arkansas defends the perimeter more aggressively than anyone in the SEC. Home record: 5-2. Road record: 2-5.
2 of the 3 road wins were South Carolina. ...
re: How much worse would LSU's loss to UL have been if not for rain?
Posted by bas456 on 2/26/14 at 2:43 pm
I think LSU would have lost by -1 runs.
Through 5 innings in last year's regional, LSU had 1 run. They wound up with 5. ULL scored 1 run in the 6th and nothing else the rest of that game.
So I'm thinking it would have finished LSU 5 ULL 4. ...

I agree since LSU has a history of getting blasted at home and never winning games in the 7th-9th innings. ...
Are you an LSU fan?
No, but I see LSU plays South Carolina, Florida and Kentucky out of the East (1/2/3 last season). They also have to play 4 of the 6 West schools on the road. ...
re: SEC Baseball Scheduling
Posted by bas456 on 3/28/13 at 10:00 pm
Under the current scheduling format, Alabama can't avoid the West. That said, LSU and Arkansas finished 1/2 in the West last season and the scheduling Gods gave Bama both of those series at home....
SEC Baseball Scheduling
Posted by bas456 on 3/28/13 at 9:44 pm
Last year, the SEC East finished - 1. South Carolina, 2. Florida, 3. Kentucky. This year, Alabama baseball doesn't play South Carolina, Florida or Kentucky.
Last year, the bottom 4 teams in the conference were 9. Georgia, 10. Auburn, 11. Alabama and 12 Tennessee. This year, Alabama baseball star...
good answer IMO
How is that a good answer? When Ole Miss swept a bad TCU team (8-11 with an RPI of 120), Ole Miss jumped from 13 to 8, ahead of LSU who went 3-0 that week. LSU is still stuck behind Ole Miss because now the rule is a winning team doesn't get jumped....
