did you even watch the 1/9 game? We got shutout and only crossed the 50 ONCE! How on earth would we have earned any respect from anyone after that game?
We didn't earn much on 11/5 either since most considered it a draw or thought Bama were better. Based on 1/9 the only answer can be :spank:...

Phil Steele is more a predictive end of season rank not as much of a preseason poll like the others.
Can't really argue with it anyway. LSU as a whole took a hit after the BCS game so I wouldn't expect to be #1 across the board.
