He's told his mom that he wants to stay and get his degree. Said he loves school and his teammates. Big question mark is weather mom talks him in to it. She's planning on sitting down and talking to him about it, so we'll just have to see if he prevails, or if moms does. ...

I remember following Pat Bates at a Nike golf tournament to Sunday before, with all his gator garb on his clubs and bag, and me with my LSU gear on, talking about the upcoming game. He was real cool to chat with us in between holes. He said it was gonna be ugly for us, and hell we agreed with him.
