re: Predict the record now

I'm going to be a little optimistic and say 10-6. At this point the one game I want us to win the most is against San Diego. Please guys, I don't want my one visit to the Dome this year to be a loss!...

I'll be safe and say Ole Miss. It's easy to say Arkansas right now but if they get Tyler Wilson and those other starters back they can still be at least somewhat decent. They get dismantled by Bama next week but have a chance to beat Rutgers. They then play Texas A&M and Auburn on the road, both of ...
Scoob that is a good point, Arkansas definitely helped last year. I also think it will depend on how close the LSU - Bama game in Baton Rouge is. If it's a blowout either way then no rematch, but if it's close like last year I could still see it. I think it also depends on what happens in the USC/Or...
The problem with WVU though is they aren't used to playing a tough schedule. They play Oklahoma and Oklahoma State back to back. WVU the last few years is similar to FSU in the 90s (without the NC's of course) in that WVU in the Big East had 2 to 3 games in a season that they had to bring their A ga...
West Virginia hahaha thanks for the good laugh. West Virginia loses at least 3 games in the Big 12 this year. They won't beat Oklahoma, Texas, or Oklahoma State. West Virginia is too used to the soft Big East schedule, it will take them a few years to adapt to a real conference....
I agree the likelihood is no, but then if the answer is no who is team that prevents it? I just assumed it would be USC but after the Syracuse game today I'm not sold on them at all. Oregon is the only other real threat in my opinion at this point. Outside LSU/Bama college football is way down this ...
Yep after week 2 I'll be the first to bring it up, are we looking at another potential LSU/Bama NC game? With Arkansas having their epic collapse I think the likelihood just became a lot better. Obviously it's still insanely early in the season but let me explain why I think it could very well happe...
My prayers are with all of you right now, especially those in Laplace, Lower Jefferson, and Placquemines, those seem to be the hardest hit areas so far, at least from what I have heard. I kept telling my friends that I wish Isaac had come over here and just absolutely destroyed us rather than go ...
TigersforEver I am definitely conflicted on PSU this year. Part of me wants to see them burn to the ground and go 0 - 12 for the next 10 years and never return to the college football elite. It's going to take a long time for me not to look at them as a school that protected a pedophile for the sake...
Saints players just got another reason to have a great season, if p*ssing off Roger Goddell wasn't enough. Sure this isn't Katrina and lets hope it stays that way but a lot of people have lost a lot in this storm and these players need to play even harder for those people now....
Yeah at this point I can't see them playing the game Saturday. The biggest reason won't be the storm, it'll be long gone, but the state of Louisiana is not going to want over 90,000 people attending a game and possibly impeding emergency response and creating a possible gas shortage. Plus since it's...
Something tells me Goodell and the NFL will be finding a solution after week 1 when CBS and FOX are pissed that games are going 3 1/2 - 4 hours long (when the regular NFL refs have always been good at keep a good 3 hour pace to the games) and all their advertising revenue gets screwed up. Nevermind ...
Well my family is not originally from the region and I didn't go to LSU so I'm not necessarily a diehard LSU fan. I do cheer for them casually though and was definitely disappointed when they lost in the NC game in January. My family is originally from Kentucky and my dad, sister, and I went to Loui...
Hopefully they are doing okay, I know the community learned a lot from Katrina so hopefully those lessons are coming in handy now. Really a nice down to earth small town community. Hopefully Diamondhead is doing okay as well, we lived in there for awhile while my dad worked for GE near the Stennis S...
I echo the sentiments of others, be safe. It might be a longer drive but I would go up to Birmingham and then go over through Memphis and Little Rock to get to the game. On your way back (if you are going back to Panama City) you should be able to go through Louisiana and Mississippi....
LOL maybe it's because I'm still recovering from vacation but I am not getting the Jacksonville reference here....
Hahaha oops I just realized there was a forum specifically for this,, ignore this thread. Nothing to see here....
Okay so it's that wonderful time of year again, fantasy football drafting time! So I'm sure this will be the first of many of these threads, lol. I follow the Saints pretty heavily of course but I don't necessarily follow a lot of the other teams and I don't do hours and hours of research on each...
Yeah, people hate greatness. Tom Brady = 3 rings. Almost there every year.
Too bad for Tom Brady they are all tainted because of the cheating scandal. Obviously Brady was not directly involved with all that but it still taints his titles. ...
We beat the Giants, but we didnt beat Tom Brady. After what Alex Smith did to us in the playoffs, Brady would have broken records against us in the super bowl.
Brady probably would've had more success against our defense than they did the Giants defense. On the other hand, Brees an...
