I can see BI being the fall back to a team that misses on Paul George.
I do wonder if we could be in play for PG in a sign and trade with the Clippers. I have no idea how the salary cap works now, but he could be the alpha we need....

I think Payton gets traded for a 7th round pick in preseason. At least Davenport showed something when he was healthy. Turner has been a healthy scratch multiple times. ...

Another thing to look at is the Post June 1st cut numbers of our older expensive players, assuming they get cut:
Kamara - 7.8 million dead, 10.6 million cap savings
Taysom - 7.2 million dead, 8.5 million cap savings
Lattimore - 22.6 million dead, - 8 million cap savings

One notable thing I noticed is we only have 11 million in dead money for Michael Thomas and 3 million for Jameis. Not terrible, considering how much dead money we typically carry each year. He has done, from a record standpoint, exactly what you want from a new head coach. He has improved his record every season. However, he has shown not only that he is a terrible in game coach (0-24 when trailing in the 4th), but that any other professional coach would have this team winning 10-12 ...
