re: Pelicans are not expected to offer BI extension this offseason, moving in new direction
I'm just 99% sure that we aren't trading Herb.
One factor that was not in place at the trade deadline are the 2nd apron teams looking to shed salary. Hopefully they can find an alternative path.
Also, I'm not sure how this will impact BI's trade value or the Pels decision maki...
re: How long until we have a full AI news network?

While humans will no doubt use AI to create fake news, AI can also help us figure out what is real. Many that fall for fake news do so because they’re so lazy that they react to headlines and sound bites. That isn’t even the Cliff’s Notes of the news.
Imagine your news being rewritten by an AI n...

I hear you and I hope they can find a better way. I think Atlanta doesn’t want to take a step back and would want a good starter to take Murray’s place. Maybe you bring in a 4th te...
BI is worth more than Murray,
Even with BI at $50 and Murray at $25-$30? Money is a big part of the equation and probably a big part of why it looks like they aren’t going to try and kick the can down the road again.
Also, Murray has an All star season and was 2nd in MIP voting ...

On defense you have to hope that Zion’s late season improvements will be the new normal, if that’s true it’s not as bad as you think.
Allen and Murray >>>> JV and CJ on defense
Trey >= BI on defense.
How you fill Herb’s spot is the question, but that spot no longer has to be a one man gang ...

And I prefer that one. But unless Atlanta decides to blow it up, none of the 3 teams will be looking for future assets as a primary return. I know people think they want to recoup what they some of what they sent out for Murray, but they were rumored to be insistent on Herb because if Murray goes ...

MM threw out this hypothetical, and as much as it will seem unacceptable to many for including Herb, I think this is probably where the realistic value is at for BI.

Hawks Receive: Herb Jones, #21, and Caris LeVert
Pels receive: Dejonte Murray,
that’s the fact
we traded Anthony Davis for Dyson Daniels and a first round pick
I’ve always viewed the CJ trade as a 1st for CJ and a relatively even swap, at the time, of Hart for Nance.
Dyson, Nance, a 1st, and BI. ...

This could easily have been a prescheduled social media post, but I do find it a well timed coincidence that the Pels post a "Zion Loves Us And Is Our Leader" post on the same day rumors start spreading about BI not coming back.
He's likely be worth more at the trade deadline.

re: Windhorst says Philly is monitoring the Brandon Ingram situation
Posted by TigerinATL on 5/3/24 at 6:08 pm
He is not ever going to fit with Zion and the way Willie wants to play. If you keep him it’s in hopes of finding a better trade later and 90% of the time when a team does that they end up trading for the same or less than they could get now, not better. It’s a losing strategy. ...

Shamit just posted this hypothetical 3 way in response to someone from the Athletic proposing Ingram/21 for Duren/3.

Out: Ingram, Dyson, pick 21
In: Duren, Dejounte Murray, pick 3.

I haven't seen this clip yet, but MM just posted this:
an overlooked issue is the scheme.
I wish I knew how much of the scheme issues were Zion being out of shape to start the year vs. the coaches being dumb. They should never stick Zion in the corner and just have him sit there. If he doesn't have the ball in his hands, he should be...
