re: Webble Beach Love
I’m playing in the morning. Hate to hear that. Should I try to go to Clark?
It's been about a month since I played Clark, but it was in good shape then. Greens were running pretty fast then. They still have trouble accepting shots, so plan for that on your approach and chips. I ...

Ai Smoke Triple Diamond is the best driver I've ever hit. Kicked the Titleist TSR4 out of my bag. Have hit the longest drives of my life over the last 2 months with it....

Played Webb after work yesterday. The fairways are in really nice shape. The greens are not. They were either fuzzy, had a bunch of poa or they were dead. Or a combination of all 3 on the same 10 foot putt. It's awful. I played City Park on Saturday and their greens (except 7) are all in much better...

I think you either love or hate the Srixon soles. I hated them. But lots of people love them....
I didn't really care for the guy at first because of the face tattoos and weight, but he won me over with this Senate testimony. [embed]https://youtu.be/M_NULoJyNAw?si=EgdLwDtoBgL2KpRH[/embed]...
My dad was diagnosed with Meniere's disease in his early 40s. It's a disease of the inner ear that affects hearing and balance. Got dementia in his mid 70s and passed last year at 78....
Just seeing this thread, but it brings me back to my dad. He passed a year ago in February after a few year bout with dementia. I don't have a whole lot of advice that hasn't already been said. But a few things stand out: - Take care of the primary caregiver. My mom was my dad's primary careg...
Florida Blvd is still open and the beans are still amazing.
Ate there for lunch today. Still the best baked beans I've ever had. Tastes exactly like they did when I was a kid and eating there 35 years ago....
Chicago has more quality courses than Louisiana, Arkansas, Mississippi, and most of Alabama combined
No doubt that's true, but I'd lose my mind if I could only play 6 months out of the year....

Flying termite season is here

Posted by BMoney on 4/29/24 at 2:41 pm
Saw my first flying termites yesterday evening, and it reminded me that it's that time of year. So remember to turn your outside lights off just after dusk, particularly the ones around doors that you'll be opening and closing. The next few weeks will only get worse....
I’d like to see a little expanded practice area like Webb has now if possible. Seems like the greens could be fixed easily.
Bumping this to say I played City Park on Saturday. All the greens are in really good shape right now, with the exception of 7. The grass on it is actually fi...

Didn't go through all 10 pages, but didn't see this:
Legal hemp is imperiled now by Senate Bill 237 by Sen. Thomas Pressly, R-Shreveport. His legislation aims to “completely eliminate” Louisiana’s consumable hemp industry, seeking to outlaw beverages and snacks that contain any quantities ...
Long story short, while Im an opponent of government overreach and over legislation, this could actually help pave the way for recreational marijuana use in Louisiana down the road.
It will never be, because the beer distributors like Mockler would never let it happen. ...
You’d drive an extra 15 minutes, but how often? And how many more like you will?
Try to find a tee time anywhere in town tomorrow. They are basically non-existent. Beaver Creek, Copper Mill, Santa Maria, The Island, Pelican Point, and Carter Plantation all have nothing before n...
For the Bluffs BR is the only area with big numbers near it and it's still a 40ish minute drive. Plenty of golf can be played in BR for a decent price so a 40 minute drive to play is going to be a once in a while deal for most BR golfers.
That's fair, but then again, most of the go...
