My thoughts on the permanent rivals if the SEC consolidated to a single open division.
Assumption is to have 3 permanent rivals with 6 rotating games amongst the remaining 12 teams. 6 rotating games results in a home and away for every team to play every 4 years.

First look on TV, the Ball was clearly tipped as you could see the middle finger deflect.
Right after that, the ref on the analysis team said it was clearly tipped.
After that, they went to a different angle, grainy video, that was hard to see. They never once played the initial clip again ...

I see a lot of people heavily weighing the past 20 years of success at LSU as a basis to warrant their blue blood status. While I do not disagree this is greatly warranted, I think overwhelming success over a relatively short (20 year) period does not, on it's own, guarantee blue blood status.

I don't bet very often anymore. Just on games I know I will win....
Last year I predicted a 31-10 Super Bowl. Tried to get the bucs -20, but no one would take the bet. Best I could get was was -10.5. I cleaned up since the score was 31-9.

Is that when I tried to place a big bet on the Bengals to win, at the point they were down 3-21, my bookie refused.
Had to settle for the second half moneyline.

Auburn v Alabama is a bigger rivalry because it means so much to each team.
LSU doesn't have a true rival, so to many LSU fans, Alabama is their biggest rival.
Auburn is 32-46-1 against Alabama
Auburn is 5-10 v Saban at Alabama
they are 10-10 last 20 years
LSU is 25-53-5 against Bama
