You may want to look into why KY didn't secede officially. The unionists in the state felt slavery was best protected by the Union. Thats false. Kentucky and Missouri had confederate governments that were recognized by the confederate congress. And they held represenatives there from those two states. The population combined is 902k out of 4 million people in KY. And not everybody in Louisville and the Cincy burbs are midwestern in culture. Some live there from other parts of KY....
