All men are supposed to register for the selective service already. However, I don’t know if everyone does it though. ...

Defense and hitting are contagious, both good and bad. I’m glad that the good vibes are striking at the right time of year....
Maybe him and Anthony Weiner can run together....
In my experience, most of these 3rd world crews would work offshore as long as you would let them. And these were in living conditions I assume are worse than this ship.
They make pretty decent money compared to the rest of India. The Captain probably makes about $7-8 k a month ...

Would love to see someone do a YouTube documentary on Corn Pop. They could interview the former workers/ patrons of the pool. Then they can find the kids who used to rub his legs to feel his white person hair. Then the sequel; Joe on Robin Island with Mandela....
I know we’re a really big country, and accidents happen all the time, but lately this stuff has made my tin foil hat tingle.
I think it just gets more media coverage now. Barges used to break away on the Mississippi a lot especially during high water. A lot of times some tug boa...
I’m not being hyperbolic, the owners of the ship get their money, then another company manages the ship and receives less money taking into account fuel costs, berthing charges, maintenance and crewing costs. The management company is operating on tight margins at times.
Any costs incurre...
I mean, it's not only replacing the likely billion dollar+ bridge but also the billions of dollars economic cost of it being out of service for decades.
Just to give some perspective and I’m not justifying any action but there are a couple of issues with invoking fees based on the ...
It had two tugs with it until it got to the channel. Would going a couple miles further (I have no idea what the actual distance is) add that much to the bill?
Probably not, but shippers are trying to save a penny whenever they can. Plus, if you asses the risk there are probably ...
I’m more worried about the maintenance log, and why it didn’t have a tug escort. I know it’s not uncommon to have a tug escort, but I bet they start mandating it now.
I’m guessing the reason they stopped having tugs escort the ship through the bridge is cost. It would add $5-10k f...
I think it may have been an issue of the engineers maybe getting the engine back online if you are referring to the smoke stack. The emergency generator kicking on won’t give as much smoke but you’ll see some electrical systems lighting off....
The ship apparently lost propulsion. Does a container ship have electric propulsion? I have seen both electric and engine driven propulsion on the ships I have been on, but those were Gulf service boats.
No, this was a diesel engine. They have failures sometimes and more so since...
There are too many ways to get in trouble drinking now. Everyone has a camera in their pocket and social media can broadcast your drinking to the world. Athletes can get banned from sports if they are caught drinking anytime during the school year. Parents can go to jail if they host parties as we...
