He had just been moved to RF after Larsen was pitch hit for and they inserted Kling at CF. So he wasn’t familiar with the lights, etc from that position.
Also the ball was absolutely scorched and did not have a lot of loft and was tailing. The batter barreled it up for sure.
Not an easy catch...

The pitching did enough. The bats did not deliver. Just that simple.
Brown is going to be a stud and we are glad to have him.
We weren’t going much farther this year anyway....

Dude he was playing out of position. Normally in center.
I think he lost the ball.
The bats lost this game. You can’t ask for more than giving up 4 runs with a patch work of pitchers.

I know it matters what position they play, i.e., middle infield, but how do you decide as a coach?
I get frustrated sometimes when an LSU opponent plays better defense and seems to have better fundamentals when we are more of a power team and rely on the long ball… but how do you decide? Once yo...

I would’ve like to see Neal PH today. He has occasional power and is switch hitter. Get him back involved in the team a bit more…...

Looks like CJJ trying to get Tommy out of his funk. Not sure I like the new batting order but I trust CJJ with his decisions.
I personally would have put Milam 2 behind Bras leading off, Tommy 3.

Just too many holes in our lineup. Can’t string hits together. Rely almost entirely on the long ball. Bad at bats by some of the more experienced players as well…

But for us to make a run in these regionals we need “Omaha Tommy” or we don’t really have a chance. It is a shame he is in a mini slump right now. He has had some rough at bats the last 3-4 games. He has had several opportunities to drive some runs in last few games and took some bad ab’s imo. He ...

The thing is… he could be much better if he learned how to work a count in his favor. Force the pitcher to throw you a strike you like. A la Dylan Cruise.

I’ve seen far worse than that not called interference. He slid and stood up on the base. Didn’t impede anything.

If that is called interference, I wouldn’t know how to slide in the future. It was a perfect slide and didn’t interfere with anything. He was on the middle of the base....
