Very interesting topic! Many valid points, but just like with everything else in this country, I believe we should careful in more regulation! LA has so much opportunity for anyone wanting to get outdoors. I have hunted 10 other states besides LA and comparing it to others is like apples and oranges...

Trust me I understand! Land is managed for waterfowl! If it was deer I would not entertain anyone! I kinda selfish when it comes to deer!...

It really depends on the lands location, the crop that is being planted, and how intensively it is being managed for hunting. Many, many variables come into play. I manage about 8000 ac where I am also farming/planting about 1800 ac of rice annually. On the same property the land owner runs a large ...

I bowhunted elk on public land in Co for 18 or so years. Always DIY so no experience with outfitters, but will will be happy to help with any questions. There is nothing like September in elk country!!...

I believe that a mature buck in a heavily hunted area will only move during the daylight A couple days out of the hunting season. One thing that I would highly recommend is having a gas stovetop instead of a griddle. You can always get a custom made griddle to go on top. This is much more versatile for cooking in general ...
