Kentucky has tried and failed to recruit in Ohio prior to Stoops, but didn't have the connections. In the 70s and 80s they worked Ohio and Pennsylvania effectively....

I agree. It's awesome to see after 40 years of bad/mediocre football.
I am hopeful that the team doesn't adopt an "I'm just happy to be here" attitude. That gets you beat.

Interested in seeing the fact check on that, but my anecdotal observation is that the Cats have been strong in the 2nd half defensively. And, Stoops likes to grind time off the clock in the 2nd half to shorten the game. Couldn't do it against Mizzou because of playing from behind though....

Hey friends, been a lurker mostly for the last 4 years here but winning brings the football fans out of the woodwork. I've followed the Cats faithfully since 1977 through thick and thin. Love football first, and basketball second.

Brutal for this Cat fan, but none less breathtaking 11 years in retrospect. Most memorable ending ever.
To this day, I never, ever, ever celebrate a win until the clock says 0:00 as a result of that one. Been burned way too much.
Some really exciting endings in the series, though. '98 in BR,...
