re: If you could pick, what is the best regional you would want to see lsu in?

Indiana State, East Carolina, Dallas Baptist, Oklahoma State, Oklahoma... Basically any non-ACC/non-west coast one......
re: The stars are aligning ladies and gentlemen

The stars have been aligned. LSU hasn't taken advantage. None of it really matters if LSU doesn't handle their own business and sweep....
re: Sweep of Ole Miss won't be enough
Posted by ccox11 on 5/16/24 at 8:17 am
The bubble is very weak. The conference record is the only negative. 13-17 with an RPI in the 20's with not a lot of strong cases for the final handful of spots will be good enough....
re: Espns 12 Win SEC chart
Posted by ccox11 on 5/14/24 at 9:04 am
All 3 12 win teams that got in were 12-17 because they missed a game. LSU isn't getting in at 12-18....

RPI isn't the only metric used bud. Does LSU deserve to be in based on overall body of work? Absolutely. Unfortunately, conference record plays a big part in the selection. The top 12 in the SEC all deserve to be in based on overall body of work. They won't all 12 get in......
re: Some of y'all calling for Beth's head.

I hope she makes a run.
If she doesn't make a run, LSU softball should have a new coach.
Why can't both be true?...
re: Can LSU do the almost impossible and get a series win against A&M?
Posted by ccox11 on 5/2/24 at 8:37 am
It wouldn't even be that big of an upset. It's baseball. It's at home. It's not even like there's a huge talent gap between the two teams. Just because A&M has won 8 more games in a 21 game span doesn't actually mean very much for either team's chances of winning this series. Imagine if 2 MLB teams ...
re: NFLN mentions “off field issues”
Posted by ccox11 on 4/26/24 at 9:36 am
That doesn't have to mean anything legal. From my brief encounters, I can see Nabers being a little bit like OBJ in liking the spotlight which isn't necessarily good for football. OBJ never had any problems at LSU either until he got uber famous and now it's definitely impacted his football career. ...
re: Rotation vs. Missouri: Jump, Holman, TBA (again)
Posted by ccox11 on 4/18/24 at 1:54 pm
It has more to do with putting Holman in the middle so you use your bullpen more in games 1 & 3 with a rest day in the middle. Jay said that. It's smart. Not something I had considered. At the end of the day though, all of the strategy stuff isn't the issue. Everyone just needs to play better....
re: Skip, Tax Day, and the Lineup

I don't disagree but that's also pretty much exactly what they're already doing. The problem is that everything has been tried to this point and nothing has worked significantly. Kling, Neal, and Hurd gotta get hot. It's really that simple....
9 game win streak - got to have it

UNO - RPI 101
@ Missouri - RPI 94

Nicholls - RPI 98
Auburn - 2-13 SEC record
Auburn - 2-13 SEC record
Auburn - 2-13 SEC record
Grambling - RPI 264
No more excuses. Get these 9 and you're back to 31-15 (9-12) with a fighting chance to close out the s...
re: Hurd, Kling, and Pearson
Posted by ccox11 on 4/15/24 at 4:55 pm
I would say Hurd, Kling, and Neal but we can go all 4 if you want. This is the truth though. Everybody else on the team is doing what you should have expected out of them-- or at the very least it isn't surprising. Although I am pretty surprised by Justin Loer also...

Met Hailey Van Lith
Posted by ccox11 on 4/11/24 at 1:53 pm
She was at a charitable event yesterday evening. I was accompanying some kids I work with. She was very personable and engaging with the kids. I asked her where she was playing next year. She said she doesn't know (I'm sure she actually does). She said she was just focused on finishing up her MBA th...
re: Pitching help for next year
Posted by ccox11 on 4/8/24 at 8:38 am
I honestly never understand this type of questioning. How would anyone know until players get to campus and start pitching? The guys we have now were highly ranked. How does it make logical sense to say "the highly ranked guys we have now aren't pitching well, do we have any highly ranked guys comin...

re: Where would this SLU team finish in this SEC?
Posted by ccox11 on 3/26/24 at 7:51 pm
Last or maybe around Missouri. I don't understand the point though. That's true for essentially every team outside the 4 major conferences. 13 SEC teams would win every conference other than the ACC, Big 12, and Pac 12......
re: Fire McMahon, rehire Wade, build new arena
Posted by ccox11 on 3/21/24 at 1:24 pm
In all seriousness, there's no reason not to fire McMahon and rehire Wade if Wade is willing to come back. That doesn't even have anything to do with McMahon. I think he's done as good as could reasonably be expected in his first two seasons. You know who else didn't "deserve" to be fired after 2 se...
re: What has led to the softball teams success this year?
Posted by ccox11 on 3/13/24 at 8:14 am
I think it's mostly just having an entire lineup of 4th/5th year seniors. It doesn't hurt that Taylor Pleasants is one of the best players in the game either. They really loaded up for this season....
