FOX Sports broadcaster Tim Brando recently suggested that ESPN SEC analyst Paul Finebaum couldn't ask SEC commissioner Greg Sankey "direct questions" out of fear that his "Bat-phone was going to ring."...

“I don’t want to create another headline by going off on Tim,” Finebaum said. “Tim’s had a great career. He’s welcome to his opinion. He chooses to take cheap shots on Twitter. I try to contain what I have to say within the confines of a 4-hour program every day.”

“My only beef with Tim Brando is this — and I know I’m walking down a dangerous road here. I have no concern what he says about me, I don’t really care what he says about Commissioner Sankey,” he added. “The thing, I think, that exposes him more than any other aspect of his being is the fact that he can’t handle criticism… If you criticize him on social media he’ll block you, and I don’t believe any public person should do that.”

Finebaum has been a schill for Alabama, and by extention the SEC, since his days at WJOX in Birmingham. Don't care for either one, but Brando is right about this.

Whether or not Finebaum is an ESPN shill or Brando is a bitch, if Sankey is not going to 9 games over money already negotiated, he's (a) fricking around using what the fans want and (b) if he's unsuccessful and goes to an eight game schedule, which nobody wants, just out of spite to ESPN, then he is the bitch. Brando isn't off base, but throwing shade at Paul over it, while it may have some basis in fact, was petty.
