Lane Kiffin Shares His Expectations For Mac Jones At The NFL Level
© Jasen Vinlove-USA TODAY Sports
While on Thursday's The Herd with Colin Cowherd on Thursday, Ole Miss head coach Lane Kiffin shared his expectations for former Alabama QB Mac Jones who's now with the New England Patriots...
quote:

“I know Mac well. He’s a great competitor, a phenomenal student of the game,” Kiffin said. “He’s gonna study, he’s gonna know everything about it. I think he’s going to do really well. … He was extremely accurate with his deep ball throws. Now, over two years, having four first-rounders [at wide receiver] helps your accuracy, too, but he did a great job.”

Mac has already exceeded all reasonable expectations. He has rings AND fist round money from the best franchise in the last 20 years. If he never gets on the field, the guy has already proven himself.

Only three in the NFL Hall of Fame. Turrible.

If only he had more NFL wide receivers to throw to going forward.

Moreso that other qbs in college didn't have 1st rounders to throw to. That tends to make you look better than you maybe are. Plus, most NFL teams don't have 4 1st round wrs.

@Grievous Angel There weren’t 4 NFL defensive backs guarding those receivers in college. See the difference?

I’ve got the sneaky suspicion this is gonna show back up in a couple of years as one off those “this didn’t age well” posts.
