For those interested in the weekday series, Wofford is ranked fourteenth nationally in batting average. So it should be a good two-game set. They are also 70th in ERA...

Yeah they are no pushover. 23-7 and RPI around 150. They're used to winning.

Their SOS is one of the worst in D1 baseball though, so this is a good test to see if their record is a fair reflection of the team.

Best outcome from the game last night. Excited to see Ferg out there and have success. His fastball was solid both innings. He had no command of his slider in his first inning but threw a couple of really nice ones in his second. It was a big deal and his teammates were very happy for him afterwards.

Very nice road sweep. There's still room for improvement but it's hard to argue with the end results thus far.

This season has been really exciting so far, and I think that's because we are one of the worst teams in striking out and issuing walks. That's going to haunt us later in the year, if we can't get it fixed.

While the loss sucks, it was actually a great game. Puckett pitched the game of his life.

Yeah Puckett was really tough. Pretty impressive performance. We'll just have to take it out on Ole Miss.

That was a masterpiece by Fulmer last night. Bounced back nicely from the midweek game. Glad I was there to witness it.

We can't have our starters and relievers do well on the same night, I guess. The search for Stone's replacement continues. Pfeifer is just too inconsistent, and is occasionally "effectively wild."

And now a three game losing streak for the first time since we lost five straight in March 2012. Tonight we did have 7 Ks, no walks, which is great. But we struck out 10 times. We seem to take too many strikes, and lead the SEC in strikeouts. I wonder how CTC will shake up the line-up now to bust this slump. Wiseman in particular has been really cold. It was nice to see Wiel have a good game.

The strikeouts are becoming an epidemic. Everyone appears passive at the plate and taking the first pitch. Clearly the word has gotten out and practically every hitter is down in the count after the auto-first pitch strike. I really liked Belmont's approach, being aggressive and swinging early. We could learn a thing or two from them. It's tough to watch Weisman's at bats right now as he has appeared to have regressed back to his freshman year with a ton of strikeouts. Need to turn it back around quickly. It won't be easy to do at USC.

People have definitely scouted Wiseman well. He goes after too many high fastballs (one last night was almost above his head once it got to the plate). He just chops at them in nearly every at bat. His mindset was great at the beginning of the season, but he's in his own head too much at the plate now.

Also, it was on ESPN and not SECN which meant it got national feed. Good exposure for both schools,

A nice showing on the road after a tough week. Hopefully this means the start of another upswing as we build momentum for the post season. Ro was so close to hitting for the cycle.
