And they didn't even want to give it to Ro. That was clearly a HR. Needing a review was nonsense. Glad they got the right call.

Meh. Glad I left for the Preds game and missed the last few innings...

Welp, that should put us on the bubble for a regional host. This team is incredibly confusing. The Ks keep killing us.

D1 Baseball has released this week's projected NCAA field. They project us as a host, but if we end up with this slate, we would definitely have the hardest road to Omaha.

LINK

Our site would be:

1. Vanderbilt
2. UNC-Wilmington
3. Virginia
4. Southeast Missouri

UNC-W is a pretty good 2 seed, but Virginia would be the most talented 3 seed I've seen, if this ends up as the regional slate. That's not likely, as there are a lot of games to play, and Virginia has been heating up. But still, facing them and then being paired with the TCU regional would be rough.

Yeah that would be a really tough road. We need to heat up again to at least improve our host slot. National seed isn't out of the picture but we have a lot of work to do.

Pfeifer was great in the starting role. Hopefully, he can keep consistent, and lock down the rotation for good.

Oh how I'd love for this Fulmer/Pfiefer/Buehler rotation to stick.

Great write-up about the win. They were a bit effusive with their praise for this team

This. Looked much more like a team that can make a run...

The offense showed up too against a very good pitching staff. Coleman has really come around. If he can work on his base stealing, this team will be scary good.

Scoring three runs against Belmont in two games really sucks. As soon as this team finds momentum, it peters out with a quickness

So we're the top-ranked team in the SEC East and the 3rd-ranked team in Nashville?

Coleman and Wiseman bust the game open!

Coleman clutch once again when a scoreless bases loaded no out inning would have been a really bad momentum swing.

Very nice road series win. Next weekend could be for a top 8 seed.

Very likely. Glad to see they have somewhat righted the ship after the USCe & OM series...

I'm not so sure. At this point, the national seeds are likely UCLA, A&M, LSU, Louisville, Miami, TCU, Illinois, and Dallas Baptist. People can talk all they want about "marquee" series wins, but DBU has been No. 1 in the RPI nearly all season. They scheduled a ton of away games and better opponents in order to shore up the fact that they are in a mid-major conference. This will have to be rewarded. Otherwise, it'll be a sign to all the mid-majors that regional host is all you can hope for. Louisville has torn through the ACC, and having them as a second ACC seed is more likely than Vandy being the third national seed from the SEC. Both A&M and LSU are above Vandy in the RPI and honestly have better resumes. I think the only thing that weighs in Vandy's favor is the slightly better SEC record. But I still put our chances of a national seed at less than likely unless LSU or A&M lose another series or we make a strong showing in the tournament.

D1 Baseball seems to disagree with me. While they have Louisville and DBU in as national seeds, they replaced Miami with Florida State and TCU with Vandy. They must think that having 3 Texan national seeds is less desirable than 3 SEC national seeds, which makes sense. The SEC had three national seeds in 2011 and '12, so I'm probably wrong.

Great game last night. One of the best of the season nationwide. Hope that the good Pfeifer shows up tonight and we can take the series.

That was an epic way to fall apart. I'm still in shock. Swanson had a great game though, and Reynolds seemed to be getting better contact by switching to swinging right.
