Running Chubb or Michel would have been the better choice, but I had a bigger problem with the previous play call on 3rd and 1.

The defense was spread out and a draw would have gained 15-20 yards.

Play call is understandable. The only thing consiStent on offense on Saturday was McKenzie. Chubb has all 11 defenders keying on him. We haven't been good at 3rd and 1 or 4th and 1 with him all season.

Mckenzie had 3 jet sweeps to the edge averaging about 17 yards a piece. We thought our alignment would clog the middle with their defensive alignment (and it did), but 2 failed blocks (kublanow and chubb) on their ILB and the play gets blown up.

TBH... and fair... If Chubb makes that block, I think McKenzie may score or at the very least get it inside the 10. I honestly think it's more about poor execution, no upperclassmen leadership, and practically; a new coaching staff 3 years in a row.
