It was a reasonable call considering that they had been stonewalling us up the middle the entire game but alas we couldn't block on the outside well enough for McKenzie to get a single yard.

it is not reasonable to have the play go to the short side of the field

it is not reasonable to have Imac carry that ball only needing a yard

it is not reasonable to be in that fricking position vs Vandy

This isn't going to be a popular opinion, but that play works is Chubb makes any attempt to block 41.

Toss to the short side of the field to a 170 pound receiver who went down immediately on contact. Not to mention we have 2 NFL RBs, 1 on the sideline and one asked to lead block which is something he never does.

Short side of the field with our shifty speed player wasn't too bright either. And to top it all off, we showed the formation already and they called TO so it didn't catch anybody by surprise.

Just so poor on so many levels.

I didn't even have a huge problem with the short-side toss there; however, the problem is running it with IMac and not Chubb. The toss sweep is Chubb's forte, and if we can't get one-yard there with Chubb then we don't deserve to win.

Running an undersized wideout there gave me flashbacks of us trying to use Carlton Thomas as power back.

Agree. Our blocking in general sucks; it's not just a weak OL. Our team could learn a thing or two from GT about how to block at the point of attack.

The attempt also works if it is Chubb who is carrying the ball. McKenzie was brought down by that LB with basically 1 arm. Chubb would have at least made it to the 1st down marker.

How often do you think Chubb has been asked to be a downfield blocker as opposed to a pass blocker?
