Would a Falcon Super Bowl Championship > '95 Braves WS Championship?

Baseball is supposed to be our national pastime. That might be a little outdated. The '95 trophy was Atlanta's first major sports award. Would a Lombardi Trophy be bigger?

The NFL is the most popular sport in America and there isn't a close second. Add to that the fact that the Falcons are moving to a new stadium next year, then yeah this would be bigger than the Braves title.

Of course. Football is Americans favorite game, especially in the south. Baseball is super lame.

For me personally? No. My hierarchy of sports teams goes UGA>Braves>Falcons>QPR>Hawks, so a Braves WS win means more to me than a Falcons SB win (plus I was a kid and was able to go the '95 WS games, so that is REALLY big).

Nationally? Yes. The NFL is just more visible right now.

Falcons would be the much bigger win historically.
The Braves won 14 straight division titles. They were downplayed because they weren't able to win more championships (frick you Yankees).
The Falcons were never expected to be playing this Sunday and the road to the playoffs was paved by beating Russell Wilson, Aarons Rodgers, and Tom Brady/Belichick. This would honestly be one of the biggest super bowl win by anyone in recent history.

Yes, because football is definitely a more popular sport than baseball in the state of Georgia.

First title for the city in 95 trumps.

Falcons bigger for me personally though.

If the Falcons beat the Patriots it will go down as one of the biggest upsets of all time. Not because they NE is favored by a bunch of points but because we will have dethroned a dynasty to do so.

was it just as special the 2nd time you got laid?

Falcon win would be sweet & is a long time coming, but nothing replaces that 1st major championship in a championship starved city

Loaded question. I think most would say getting laid got a lot better after the first time.

But to answer your question, what if said first lay was with a 6 and said second lay was with a 10? The World Series win was like an 8. The Super Bowl? That's gonna be like layin' a dime.

If we had beaten the Twins, then I would say the Beaves was the bigger win. By the time we beat the Indians, it was more of a relief that it finally happened. The Coons have come out of nowhere and could unseat the mighty Patriots. This will go down as a much bigger win.

Braves win was special. But in the south, football is king. I don't know if we can do it, but if our coons pull this out, it will be epic. Long overdue for a Georgia team to win a championship. Maybe it starts a trend and we get to see UGA follow suit.

Alright. I've been swayed.

If Coons win it tops the Bravos. Braves will always be first but y'all are right. Football is king!

A "dynasty" that the Giants have already dethroned twice.

Baseball is the national pastime.

It's a way to pass the time until football season gets here.

Nevertheless, I think a Falcon Super Bowl Championship = '95 Braves WS Championship.

Stunningly bigger. I hope the Braves and the Hawks tag one in the near future so we can argue about good stuff then compare that to UGA's new future Natty.

It could all happen!
