One out, top of the 9th, we have a man on 2nd.

Now two outs, still with a man on 2nd.

The Clemson reliever is a man. Two strike-outs to end the inning.

Dawgs go the bottom of the 9th at Clemson, leading 6-2.

Nagel pitching for the Dawgs in the 9th with an ERA over 8.0

Gets the first batter to ground out.

Two to go.

STEEEERIKES the second batter out looking!

One to go.

It really was. Nice to see some steady improvement. I may end up liking Strickland.

Not to be Negative Nancy, but it's hard to lose when the other team gives you 9 walks and 5 errors!

From an LSU fan that was at the game:

I was at the UGA-Clemson game. UGA starter was rock solid. Very good outing for a guy who was reportedly a little shaky going in. Clemson fans were very quiet the entire night. Could have held a women's book club meeting in that stadium.

I watched it on TV. UGA starting pitcher was lights out, but Clemson gave us most of the runs. Again, 9 walks and 5 errors.

I did not get the chance to watch the game. Were the majority of the walks because the Clemson pitchers were erratic, were our hitters just being patient and smart, or a bit of both?

I would say a bit of both, but the announcers acted like it was very unusual for the Clemson staff to be walking so many and they talked about how great CU was up the middle defensively. I think the 2B and SS had 2 errors each. LF dropped an easy fly ball as well.
