What the heck is going on here? Who am I supposed to be mourning here? And how yall all know each other off an Internet site?

I believe that was correct HRD. Truth is, we'll never know what his actual intention was that night. There were a lot of strange details in the whole thing that left a lot of questions.

I believe his intent was to "run". It was all he knew. He'd been running from things his entire life, and he probably didn't even know why he had started way back when, but the running was all he knew.
The trips to Thailand were a part of that...trying to hush the demons and to stop running. He was looking for his answers. Then he'd fall off the rails, probably through alcohol, and wind up in a shite-storm. I could always tell when the wheels would come off. shite, I was very much like him, in my own way. But I found my answers. Some do, some don't.
Either way, he didn't want pity. He wanted to make people smile in a way he never could, himself. He knew he'd find his peace in death.
