If Chubb continues to have a sub par season, do you think it'll hamper his draft pick enough to make him want to come back another season? What are your thoughts?

I think there's a 1% chance or less he comes back.

Had one of our younger guys jokingly ask him if he wanted to rush us next year and his response was "sorry man, but I don't think you can rush someone not at UGA"

That was back in August though so who knows if this season has changed his mind.

0% chance he stays. I will put Sony at 5% just for good measure

I highly doubt Nick Chubb would tell some random freshman frat bro he is going pro before the season even started but yea I don't see him playing between the hedges next year either way

I think he would allude to the fact he won't be around long.

Sorry you don't like a funny tale.

I was at China one my freshman year and Keith Marshall (healthy, 5 star, stud, Keith Marshall) was telling the girl he was with that he was gone as soon as possible and did not care one bit that other people could hear him. And he pretty much did jus that

We are fooling ourselves if we believe most, if not all 5* skill guys think this way. And I don't blame them. Especially RB's who have very short lifespans. Get paid as quick and as much as possible.

I think he comes back next year. He might be the kind of kid that feels there is unfinished business at UGA.

The other side...this ankle sprain might have taken the wind out of that sail.

Think we've seen the last of Chubb - that maybe he will pull a Gurley and find a way to sit out?

-he missed half of last year with injury
-he's missed 1.5 games to injury this year and has been ineffective in another 1.5
-Our OL isn't going to be light years better next year than this year
-RBs in the NFL have a crazy short shelf life

If he has much common sense he'll leave this year and nobody should blame him in the slightest.

These players aren't fans like us. We like to think we'd play at UGA for as long as humanly possible, but 90%+ of players don't grow up loving the dawgs like we do. MOST of these kids look at UGA as place to hone their craft, hopefully win a bunch, then get to the league. Him staying anohter year doesn't help him get to the league.

Exactly. He and Sony should both leave for the NFL. We still will have Herrien, Holyfield, Swift and Carter.

I just hope that the Oline jells enough to get him into the upper rounds rather than being an afterthought with a poor season.

But color him gone.

I was hopeful he would tie and/or break some UGA rushing records before the year was out, but the last four games have killed that possibility. Darn shame, too.

He is gone. You don't suffer an injury like he did and roll the dice on an unnecessary risk.
