Exactly right, Mr Dalton. Adds to the case.

How bout something in a different direction?
How bout we say CMR is in the locker room before the game, walks up to CTG and slaps the bejesus out of him in front of the players and says, "Im not s******* the bed this time. Not here, Not now!!! Now wipe your tears and go kick some tater arse!!"
Maybe something along those lines?

Depends on circumstances and your perspective. The buck obviously stops with the HC but most would figure the defense will be the weak link tomorrow night. Once again we seem to find ourselves depleted in a key area, the secondary. That is always on the HC because you have to allow for attrition and injuries in recruiting. We have been here before under Martinez. If we can't get pressure on Boyd, it could be a long night for our secondary. I'm just hoping we can control the ball on offense and keep Boyd & Co. off the field most of the time.

Anyone who has watched the Dawgs at all knows that we have a tendency to show up totally unmotivated and unprepared to certain games. "Flat" is the term. This shits been going on for all of CMR's tenure and yes, that's coaching.
If we're playing an average team we usually win by grinding it out. If we're playing a good team then we get WVU in the Sugar Bowl, the Bama blackout, Boise, OK State and USCe last year.
You could just say "will our boys be ready"....but why pull punches? The USCe performance last year was a bed shitting.....so its a valid question IMO.
My answer is -we won't know until the first two possessions.

And JD, my forecast is a loss due to a mix of richie typical failure to prepare for early season big match ups
Richt is 18-6 in his first 2 games as head coach. What about that is "typical failure"?

Wow, way to stick yer neck out there!
You just spent spent 3 paragraphs railing against CMR
for being "unprepared" for big games but you refuse
to qualify anything in perhaps CMR's biggest opener
ever until "the first two possessions"
Really? Do you not make bets with your bookie until you
see the "first two possessions"?

No...I picked the Dawgs. But I also provide reasonable answers to questions rather than spew ignorant bullshite.
Instead of walking around with daisies sticking out of your arse pay attention and look at what happens on the field. Or, how do you define what happened at USCe last year...or those other games? Bad luck?

Are the Dawgs gonna show up "unprepared and unmotivated today or not"?
Yes or No?

Who the frick knows? Has it happened before? Yes. So, is it a valid question? Yes
You can try to whistle past the graveyard if you want but its a possibility. We won't know if they're ready until after the first two possessions. Any other answer is speculation.
You still haven't answered the OP. Maybe instead of getting all pissed that someone would dare criticize CMR you should try answering the question.

You have a difference of opinion, post it.
So, it is all on the Head Coach? Is everything that happens in the country the Presidents fault? Is it all on him? He IS the President, is he not?
If a business losses money is it all on the CEO's shoulders? not the economy? Just the CEO?
You take a very simplistic view of things. I suspect you are too young to remember where Georgia came from. The days of Donan, and Ray Goff. You fail to lay any blame on assistant coaches...coaches that Richt has replaced. You fail to place any blame on the players shoulders.
First take a look at where Richt has gotten us. Head and shoulders the best coach we have had since Dooley. Is there work to be done? yes. Definitely. Has Richt made mistakes? no question. Has Richt demonstrated that he learns from his mistakes? yes. No argument. All you have to do is look at his showing the door to Ealey, King, Crowell.
Relax my man. You call Boise a "smoking" in 2011. you fail to mention that we were playig the #5 ranked team with an inferior team that was ranked #19.
I suspect that you are one that would like to blame everyone else when a win is not realized and would run off every head coach that dares lose a game.
Is that bringing enough? Let discuss facts and not just your opinion. Give me some facts that show Richt is a bad coach, please.

The post was not comparing teams, but richie's preparation of same.
Can you show us where preparation was the problem?
I can point to other problems easily enough.

I'm surprised that so many have bought into the "Georgia loses against good teams" mantra brought to us by so many of our opponenets. have you forgotten Florida last year..or the year before OR THE YEAR before? Or, how about Alabama last year in the SECCG? Not a win...but how many people beat Alabama last year or the years preceding it? How about Nebraska last year?
We can go on and on...Arizona St....however, you can always bring up losses. But, I'll bet that same S. Carolina team you are talking about would LOVE to have played for the SECCG last year.
Oh. And by the way. What exactly did that game cost us? Nothing. We were ranked #3 going into the SECCG. had we beaten Alabama, we would have played for the National Championship. So, the "HORRENDOUS" loss you are angsting over cost us absolutely nothing. And we probably played Alabama better than anyone in the country besides Texas A&M. I would say Richt did a pretty good job last year. If you can show me where he is lacking I would be glad to discuss it. But just saying we lose games doesn't get it. Give me specifics where he has done poorly, please. I'll be glad to talk it over with you.

Show me a game where they were unprepared. When breaks go against you, it doesn't always mean the team was unprepared. to say that shows me you either have never played football before or you have forgotten what it is like on the field. Sometimes the breaks go against you and you can't get it turned around. has nothing to do with preparation. That argument is trite and can't be proven. Every time you lose a game it doesn't mean you were unprepared.
