I hope so.
No offense to Bobo, but I want an innovative OC who install fire into our offense and recruit an athletic QB to wield the fire.

You mean like Justin Fields.

Fake news. Manufactured bullshite.

There's some actual real stories in the program right now, really juicy shite.

But AJC knows nothing of it, and has to invent.

I know. Others on this board know.

So it’s not a secret?

If he waits until after the bowl games he will be picking from the leftovers after the best OCs are settled with new teams. He should have been looking in October, deciding in November, and hiring on December 8.

How do we know he hasn’t been looking? I don’t think the AJC is making anything up.

One thing I've always thought Saban did was recruit coaches just as good as he recruited players. Saban seemed to always have a backup plan in the event a coach left (and his staff has been picked apart for years).

I'd like to think Kirby is in the same mold and has a plan.

Sure seems like Kirby had a list and was prepared when Pittman left.

Best guess is that Hankton gets sent packing, Coley becomes WR coach / co-OC, and we bring in someone else to be QB coach / co-OC alongside Coley. There is no way you go back and watch film this year and feel good about Fromm's mechanics or what our WRs did. The amount of times Fromm threw fading away when there was no pressure at all was remarkable. The amount of drops and lack of progression by our WRs is also inexcusable.

I would absolutely love this. I really like Coley, just not sure I like him as more than the Co-OC. WR is a much better spot for him than QB.

Absolutely!

Emerson made a good point on his podcast yesterday. Folks have pointed at Fountain and Hankton as easy people to cut but Hankton had a good haul on WRs 2 years in a row. Emerson’s point was that Kirby in his presser made sure to correct someone who credited FL recruiting to Coley by saying it was Hankton who did it.

Interesting that he had the same QB coach for last year too.
