If Kirby Smart wants to push people around and maul at the point of attack, Big Ben seems like the exact body type you would need. Obviously he's not able to deliver something but who knows what's going on?

He played DE throughout HS and played some OL his senior year. He's way too raw to step in and contribute as a freshman. In this league, you still need technique because the guy across from you is just as big, strong, and mean.

I think he'll be starter for us next year.

Do you know if he has played this year? If not, will he get a red shirt?

Has not played this year, will likely redshirt unless something crazy happens.

I hope they redshirt him. it would be a shame for him to play just a little and lose a year. Same situation for Madden? Those are two big boys that could fit Pittman/Chaney's running scheme very well.

My guess is that Pittman is sitting on them, molding them into more of what we can expect from OL of his design.

Madden is a RsFr this year, I believe. Solomon Kindley is the only freshman OL that has seen PT this year.

I hope so. by next year we should have a MASSIVE OL. They will be a bit short on experience but they will be so big they can just about lean on the DL and wear them down!

Saw Madden come down sideline after halftime at Vandy game. I was 3d row from hedges. That dude is HUUUGE. He's a monster.

I heard Kirby say in an interview that Cleveland was too raw and redshirting.

Didn't work out so well in '11.Pretty we were the biggest line in D1 and the NFL.
Obvoiusly a fine line between athleticism, experience and pure bulk.

Lets hope to God they have next years group hesded in the right direction

Pittman seems to have success wherever he goes. Maybe he can catch lightening in a bottle one more time.

He was an EE and had all Winter, spring and Summer to get up to speed. Seems like if the line was in dire shape, they would have moved him into the rotation.
