OL has been very tough, but why haven't we tried to fix that HUGE problem? I like our DL this year. We are basically using 3 DE's in the middle and 2 more as OLB's. That being said I thing that are edge rush is faster than last year and Deloach has been a demon flip-side Jenkins. Very impressed with him and I think he is as good as C-Rob now and will only get better. He has a true NFL frame and I love it. That boy will be a monster. Smith is playing well and the interior guys have held their own so far, but I'm sure we all watched the LSU game last week, and they truly have a great OL with huge TE's/FB. They will try to punch us in the mouth early and often. I just don't want to see another drive like Bama put on us last year. LSU will try to pound the ball ten times I a row if they have to and we will have to prove that we can stop them. This is my biggest fear going into this weekend. We haven't seen a running game like this fellas.

As The King said on the radio recently, but in regard to NFL drafting...

22 players on the field. 8 to 9 of them are linemen. Basically 40% of the guys on the field.

Everyone gets caught up with the flashy receiver, the running back, etc.

Obviously, having the elite skill positions are key, but if you sacrifice the linemen by taking too many of the potential hot-shits, you aren't doing yourself any favors.

I'd love to see a UGA class that is 50% linemen, either offense or defense. Even if they are mostly 3 stars.

We don't need 5 quarterbacks and 11 receivers.

How about 3 quarterbacks and 8 receivers, with 5 additional line-of-scrimmage guys. Even if they are 3 stars, you work them out and coach them up, throw enough shite against the wall and something is going to stick.

Or maybe I'm just talking out of my arse, no idea what I'm talking about.

AJ Green, Tavarres King, Malcome Mitchell, all highly rated guys, I think we have done pretty well recently recruiting great receivers.

When this Tramel Terry kid comes off his ACL rehab, when Rumph comes off his whatever the frick he has, they can both be great.

I challenge your premise that we don't recruit elite receivers.

I all seriousness, I would say UGA has recruited high profile receivers as well as anyone over the past 10 or so years.

Green, King, Massaquoi, Mitchell, Terry, Rumph, Brown, S. Bailey, etc.

The problem with that is what UT and AU are going through right now. If you don't have a serviceable QB, you're totally fricked. If having a couple extra QBs on the roster helps prevent that, we need to recruit more QBs. I think we should recruit a QB in every class. Never a filler QB either. We need to recruit a QB every year who we think can play at this level. We'll see transfers, but that's ok.

No, their qb problems are because they've been through complete collapse, top to bottom.

I agree. I guess you need a backup, then a backup to the backup, and someone to get abused on the practice squad.

So 4 quarterbacks is fair.

For once if would be nice to have UGA's offensive line to be good enough to make an average running back great, like Bama does. To make a good quarterback great, because he has time in the pocket.

You can afford to miss on some RB and QB recruits, and settle for good vs great in the skill positions, if you have a dominant OL.

Same can be said for defense.

If you have a front 7 that stops the run at the LOS because noone's OL can open a hole, and rush quarterbacks because noone's OL can stop us... then does it really matter how good the secondary is?
