Im afraid its going to take a MNC to earn respect boys.

I agree. If we beat Bamuh and the Irish, we'll have beaten the #1, #2 and #2 ranked BCS teams. The only team that'll have any bragging rights is USCe. But, then we can just quietly point to a crystal football.

weak schedule. You want respect? We need to win it all with a tough schedule and not drop an egg.

But that argument should be null and void by then.

We would have beaten UF, UA, and ND.

i'm not arguing that beating UF, UA, and ND is not a tough thing to do. But people are still going to bitch about our easy schedule when it comes down to it.

You watch, if we beat Bama it's going to be because Bama is in a rebuilding year (they had an easy schedule too btw.)

We only beat UF because they "shot" themselves in the foot with the TO's.

USCe is now the powerhouse of the East since they ate our lunch.

ND was never any good anyway since they almost got beat by Pitt, etc. etc.

^ This is what you can expect to see with a UGA MNC.

I don't give a frick, but seeing as the title of this thread is "Why does UGA not command respect?" I thought I would throw out a few reasons.

The crystal football will give us something to point at when the all the talk begins. We won. did what we had to do to get the MNC> At that point, weak schedule arguments look more like butt-hurtness, than an actual fact. While our schedule wasn't the toughest in the country, it sure as frick wasn't the easiest. Im sorry but beating bama in the SECCG followed by a rapping of ND (which will be extremely over-hyped) will shut up a lot of UGA nay-sayers.

And the Sports Illustrated commemorative pack. I've dreamed all of my life of placing that order.

Huh? Who's been to the SECCG more the last 12 yrs?

Are we USC,UFAG or Bama elite? Not really but we aren't that far off.

Most will chalk it up to our weak schedule.
Other SEC teams have had easy schedules too. Heck, in LSU and UF's last 2 MNC games, they were both 4th or worse in the BCS standings going into the last week of the season. Two teams above them lost the last week and they were bumped up to #2. Now UGA got the breaks of 2 teams above them losing. Beat Bama and ND and UGA will earn that respect.
