There's no assurances in college coaching short of a signed contract.Dick Bestwick (Goff hire) and Mason (Donnan hire) both gave verbal assurnaces the were going to be the next HC at UGA and both backed out.

I never said that people can't back out of these assurances. But I hope that you aren't implying that these guys would fire a coach that's good for 9 wins a year and has a NC and a 15 mil buyout without being pretty damn sure of getting their guy.

The long and short is, they have their guy. They spoke to their guy. Their guy said hell yes.

None of that means their guy won't back out. But they absolutely have assurances.

Absolutely, are you kidding me?Look what happened to Tubberville or Fulmer.Don't think either school had an agreement with "their guy" before they made the move.

It's SEC football and even the biggest of big money guys are driven by emotion.

One of these things is not like the others.

I'll give you at least 15 Million chances to guess what separates them.

Also, Les doesn't have a losing season...

Gonna cost them $17,000,000.... THAT'S 17 MILLION frickING DOLLARS to buy out Les & staff. They obviously have a plan in place for their guy & possibly already have him targeted & in the fold. This LSU thing wouldn't have come down this fast if they didn't have a home run hire in the bag(or thought so)... JMO...

At the very least. These boosters may have claimed the firstborn as a hostage as an insurance policy.

Seriously. They have a plan. They are confident. There have been assurances.

fricking 17 mil isn't thrown around nonchalantly by anyone...

LOL,so now it's $17 million?Regardless, this is not a lump sum. It'll be about $2 million for 7 years.Still a huge amount but does not guarantee ANYTHING as far as a replacement.
