Kimbrough. There are guys that hit hard, then there's Kimbrough. Some of the licks he makes really fires up the defense.

Sony Michel is our all everything guy. He is doing it all at a high level and just makes our offense more dynamic.

I agree, I think Sony will end up as our MVP this year. Ahead of Chubb, ahead of Floyd, ahead of everyone.

The Oline and D lines.

They are making all our skinny guys look sexy.

Holy shite, how did I not know about that? I'm guessing Pruitt pushed him out? He said he left because of playing time? He had 4 starts last year and played pretty well.

Sony is our MVP if you are trying too hard to be original or unique for some reason.

Look, I love him and he is a stud, but Chubb is our MVP

Or if you have watched both of them play this year. I was in no way taking anything away from Chubb, but Sony has been a stud in his own right and I think his play on special teams, his receiving threat, and his elusiveness make him a dark horse MVP candidate and was a direct response to the question at hand.

Why don't you go worry about basketball or something?

If your looking for true unsung, I'd say Atkijs.

Yeah he's awesome. I agree. I then proceeded to disagree with you in your MVP prediction. I apologize for this absolutely unjust and absurd opinion that nick Chubb will be our MVP. Don't know what I was thinking.

Already prepped for back to back tourney berths. Dawgs going dancing. Does that opinion upset you as well?

There is a strong contingency here who cant come to grips with Chubb being the better choice at RB, rockchlk. Don't let the bastards drag you down.

They are always quick to point out that Sony was ahead of Chubb on the depth chart before he got hurt last year but forget to mention that it was mainly due to him being better in pass-pro, coming from a more bigtime HS program in FL.

Also, YPC comparisons between the two roll off their backs like rain off a duck. Its not close.

Pointing out that Sony has done a lot of his damage as a receiving threat, and that he is more of a Reggie Bush type player than an every down back will make them roll their eyes at you. You say Sony isn't a 25 carries a game guy, they point out Saturday night and fire back with the rolled eyes smiley about him not being a 15 carries guy. 15 is a long way from 25 and I am pretty sure that his high for carries in a game is 11.

Bottom line is this:

We are very lucky to have either of them, and we have both.

Chubb is unquestionably (yes, Sony fans...unquestionably) the better RB. I know you are going to question it anyway, but you are wrong.

Sony is unquestionably the more versatile player.

Lets just be happy we have both and stop arguing about it. The coaches are using both in the proper way. Chubb softens up the defense, then Sony gets to do his thing.

FYI - I think Marshall gets more touches as the schedule goes along...hes going to be fresh, and hes the most legit homerun threat. No one is running his arse down from behind.

In my eyes he is the team MVP. His ability to do it all and be amazing is amazing. Nick Chubb although a great RB in his own right isn't going to do the things Michel is asked to do. I love both but at this point it's not a silly argument to say Michel has been the MVP. He has been unreal for us this year.

I think it is foolish to say that SM can't carry the load at RB. 5'11 and 212 lbs is plenty big to carry the load. J Charles is 5'11 200lbs, L McCoy is 5'11 207 lbs, J Forsett 5'8 195 lbs, etc.

SM absolutely can carry the load, but guess what he nor Chubb has too. If both SM and NC got 15 or so rushes, plus some passes then that is plenty. We should let KM and BD/AJT get some carries in anyway to wear out the DEF and keep the studs fresh for the 4th.

Also people forget that Chubb had a broken thumb and sprained ankle so it isn't like he is immune to injury either. Chubb had rushing attempts of 38, 33, 30, 25 which is a lot. I know some were due to circumstance, but we do not need Chubb going over 30 rushes in a game. We are gonna need him and all our guys ready for ATL.

I am a big Marshall fan (pretty sure everyone is), but I actually think we will see less of him in our big games. Fair or not, he isn't the same threat Chubb and Michel are.

And I think the gap between Chubb and Michel is much smaller than some others do. I also think it is something that's really stupid for UGA fans to worry about because they both wear the red and black, they both bring different and equally valuable skills to the offense, and they both seem like good kids. Either would start for almost any school in the country.

And my votes for under appreciated players go to Mayes and Bellamy.

I think that Mauger is somebody who's been great but doesn't get much mention. Parrish is another one in the secondary who's been playing pretty well IMO.

Whoever was asking about Abram starting at safety, I'm pretty sure he started at star because Rico's knee is banged up. I thought he did a good job as well.

You gotta really stretch the truth to make Chubb look under appreciated

Chubb is incredible but I am with TM, folks are just now realizing how incredible Sony is. I figured he'd be the best of the 2 backs last year, was proven wrong, but always held on to the assertion that he was not too far behind Chubb if behind him at all. Michel offers something different and he does all of it incredibly well.

It's absolutely absurd the wealth of talent we have in those two. Gurley is the best RB of the 4 but this has to be the best RB duo Georgia has ever had. I mean it is fricking stupid how good they are.

I think gurley is the best as well, but statistically Chubb has just been flat out better than gurley thus far.

Gurley certainly looked like an alien more often than anyone in recent memory. More "that's unfair" plays than Chubb. Gurley also "benefits" from a lot of "what if" as far as injuries and suspensions.

Are we underrating Chubb? Again, for some reason I agree that gurley is the best, but is it possible we are just wrong? We argue Chubb over fournette and use stats all day long while LSU fans talk about potential or just freakish plays/talent and then we have to resort to that same argument when we argue gurley over Chubb. It's interesting. Because statistically, Chubb is on top of all of those guys for now.
