Can't help but wonder what the old man, who brought us all so many memories would have to say this far. Hope he's had some fine cigars thus far in the season. I'd give anything to hear some of his commentary on the dawgs this year.

..and my God, Alabama, they are grown men playing in a boys league. They have more 5 stars than the Gold Club on a Saturday night!

Did any of yall ever listen to his Monday morning segments on Boortz? In the last years, all he ever talked about were movies and young college girls in his movie club. The segment was set up on WSB to be a football talk thing, but Boortz and Larry would just shoot the shite instead, rarely talking about football, just talking about whatever movie came out that weekend.

I'm pretty sure I could've/ would've listen to Larry call a chess match and been yelling at the radio in excitement. DGD.
I would've loved to hear him call that Notre Dame game with a true freshman/ back up QB starting his first game.
The Tennesse game, after the heartbreak game last year, would have been comical. He'd have drank a half gallon of liquor and smoked a box of cigars telling everyone where the hobnail boot was this year.

In the early 90s, he had a show on 680 with some other dude. I was a guest on the show one day and met him at some chicken wing place near Roswell and Piedmont... before. It was like 1 pm. Think the show started at 3 or 4. We got lit up. I did my piece and then sat around for a while. He rambled about the college girls in his movie club. It was lol...

Oh how I do miss Larry. When we would watch the Georgia games on TV we would mute the volume and turn on the radio to hear Munson. Now we just mute the TV (LOL). I think Larry would be very proud of UGA this season and I wish he was still around so we could all hear him get that excited voice on the radio!

Munson was the best ever.....UGA football has not been the same. Guys who do the radio thing now are great but there will never be another Munson.

Sure did. Used to listen to Boortz every morning and I recall those segments pretty well. Always entertaining.
