"still waiting for them to quit"

UGA is frequently unprepared and not ready for the moment. but i have never EVER seen a Richt team quit on him. i will 100% give him (and you) that.

I live in Louisiana and watch a lot of LSU football too even though I am a UGA grad.

There has been for the last 10 years a marked difference between the intensity of UGA players and the intensity of LSU players apparent to anyone that follows both teams.

LSU players start the games with a lot more intensity IMHO. CMR just doesn't get our guys up.

i don't necessarily think there is a correlation. plenty of successful teams take a calm, professional, business-like, expect to win approach to games and have success without all the rah rah. I'm thinking specifically of the attitude Bama had when they calmly strolled into Sanford, giggled as us taunting them, and then proceeded to beat the frick out of us.

the way they react to this will tell you if they have quit.

Got blown out by Alabama, reacted to that by blowing a 21 point lead at Tennessee, reacted to that by not scoring a touchdown against Missouri, reacted to that by getting blown out by AND not scoring a touchdown against Florida.

I think we kind of have the answer at this point....

there is a difference between quitting and getting outplayed. Just because we lose, doesn't mean we quit.

Just pointing out that the team's reaction to adversity is now quite well established this season.

I don't think they quit. Especially not the D. But how can we go from scoring 52 against USC to scoring nata TD against against UM and UF. Chubb is good but he isn't everything. Our OC is crap!

So you're insinuating that getting outplayed and outcoached by a far less talented team and first year coach out of the Mountain fricking West allows for a pass?

I mean, the fact that you don't think we QUIT... And still get destroyed by the aforementioned means we have problems... And it starts at the top.

who says they are "far less talented" have you watched the this year or are you just repeating shite you've seen on here and taking it for a fact? their defense is one of the best in the country. Offensibvely, yes they arent great, but we arent either. But turn the ball over 4 times and gift them 2 TDs and yeah youre gonna get beat.

USCe defense os one of the worst in country and MIZZ and UF are two of the best in the SEC...UF is probably top 10 in the country.

and here you are, my good man, at the very CRUX of the Mark Richt deficiency. this is a pattern that is repeated OVER and OVER in big games.

it cannot be a coincidence and it cannot be attributed to player quality because for the most part talent is pretty equal year on year amongst the sec's big 6.

it boils down to Mark Richt's preparation of his players, year to year and game to game. and it's gone on for far to long if we aspire to win football games in a very tough conference.

however if the powers that be have decided that uga is going to be satisfied with this kind of football result in exchange for academics, ethics, character development, likeablilty, profitability etc (the two seem to be for the most part mutually exclusive), then my hat's off to them. it's a worthy goal, but it would make it very hard for 'dawgnation' - rank and file joe bulldog - to continue to support this team with any enthusiasm.

Tis always the case in life. So what do we do? Cower in the corner?

frick the fear phobia as HRD said and I have said in other posts.

It is time for change. Sometimes it is just time. You have to be a blind man not to see it.

If Eason goes somewhere else, so be it. If I were he, I would be on the phone right now with other programs, Richt or no Richt.
