I'm not the thought police think and say what you'd like. My comment was merely an observation of what was to come.

If you want to know my opinion though you can't just go and start firing coaches left and right. That's how you become the college equivalent of the Cleveland Browns.

I'm not calling you out but I agree with that. I think we are about to see some shitty years coming. This game today showed we can't coach out way out of a wet paper sack. We lost to fricking Vandy....on homecoming.

If it's so stupid, explain to me why it's ok to hire someone with zero fricking relevant job experience to come in and turn our program around.

I'm not saying we hired the right guy. Who knows at this point.

Iam saying blanket statements like
quote:

That's why you don't hire coordinators

are dumb.

Many a great head coach was first a coordinator.

You realize if no one ever hired a coordinator, there would be no head coaches?

What a dumb thing to say...

Maybe I miscommunicated. I don't believe that coordinators should be hired on to big time programs as their first job. You very rarely see that working out and almost always, itsbat the school they were a coordinator of.

With Kirby Smart, he's been with Sabah forever. He's always had 5 star recruits to work with. He even said something along the line that he never even had to design a game plan. Saban would do that and leave it up to Kirby to implement it.

With Kirby, you're getting s guy whose had to take very little ownership of anything so far in his career.

That's not saying he can't be a great coach. But that's why it's always best to get a guy whose actually proven something first.

Name the last DC to get an SEC HC job and lead his team to an SECC?

Only 2 in the last 30 years and they didn't last long
