While that's nice and all, you have to admit we had a limited offense because of his noodle arm. I don't care how accurate he was on 5 yard throws.
Hutson Mason...
Mason completed 50 of 77 3rd down passes... 34 went for 1st downs....
3rd Down, 10+ To Go... 15 outta 20...75%...10-1st downs...6 went 15+yds...2 went 25+ yds....
104 of his 188 completions were for 1st downs...53 went for 15yds+ & 15 went for 25yds+...
I ain't mad...

Honestly, I believe we get more yards, fewer TDs and more INTs from QB play this year. I think I'm going to be pleased. If we can extend the defense with a few more deep passes and the threat of skinny posts, I'll be fine with more INTs, especially on 2nd and long, 3rd and long situations. Deep threats (which we didn't have last year) will open up more draws, off tackle runs, etc.
I don't think we need similar numbers if the threat of big pass plays are there. Ramsey will have no problem throwing the long ball or big posts. DBs were not worried about that last year.
Different situation IMO. Don't think Ramsey can have the efficiency of HM, but could be better for our overall success.

If UGA wins it all this year, is Jacob Eason still "a lock" to start in 2016?
The only "lock" in regard to that statement is we won't win it all.

Those are good points. But what it ignores is YAC and any passes of 30 or more. Which were nonexistent last year. His completion of small to moderate throws were awesome Unfortunately it didn't translate to a fearful passing game nor did it pass the eye test.
That being said, I love Mason and he's a DGD.
