Question for Czars and non-Czars..........

Why does Alabama deserve to be ranked ahead of Georgia?

Remove the hype from the current Alabama mystique, and there's a lot of similarities between these two teams.........new coordinators, new QBs, stout running games, etc. but, UGA has the easier schedule, don't they?

Lots of questions about the team IMO

How will Mason perform?
Can Gurley stay healthy?
Overall readiness of injured players from last year
How will the secondary be under a 1st year DC?
Will the defense gel?
Annual suspensions?

Just my $0.02

ETA: basically i'll believe it when I see it

Better defense, and Coker sounds like he will be a star.

Update: I've swapped Bama and Georgia in my rankings based on Czar feedback. This is actually an enlightening and educational exercise. ......

Eta, seriously, thanks for the offer, it may become appropriate at some point.

Ight man lemme know

I am Tsar Damn Good Dawg. This is my list of the top 8 based off of what I have read, gut feeling, and bias. This is not necessarily the might of the teams playing but the chance they can make the playoff as well. I reserve the right to fiddle with this until the deadline but I will defend any iteration.

8) Iowa
7) Auburn
6) Michigan State
5) Alabama
4) Oklahoma
3) Oregon
2) UCLA
1) Florida State

Why? I think my picks are pretty reasonable.

Not regularly enough to chime in on the we-need-voters thread, apparently.

Would you like to be an alternate?

Just say "Yes" and I'll edit the OP to include you as an alternate.

You have 10 minutes.

My dark horse. Check their schedule though:

Northern Iowa
Ball State
Iowa State
@ Pittsburgh
@ Purdue
BYE
Indiana
@ Maryland
BYE
Northwestern
@ Minnesota
@ Illinois
Wisconsin
Nebraska

Toughest games they have happen at the end of the season with Wiscy and NU and both are at home. Nebraska is down and Iowa can easily be seen going 11-1 through that or even 12-0. Hardest team in Iowa's division is Wiscy and they play LSU in Houston and Nebraska. So really it could go either way for me. Iowa is almost interchangeable with Wisconsin but as I type this I forgot my man love for Gary Andersen. But Iowa is my pick for the moment because Wiscy starts with LSU and Iowa doesn't play diddly shite. Both teams are gutty as hell.
